Hi Everyone

I got quite a bit of advice on my last question so just thought id ask for help again. I'm a electrician planning on moving to Scotland in a few months. I have to complete the 18th Edition course and as im working full time and living in Ireland still i plan to do it online and then sit the course in the UK/Scotland in the coming weeks. My question is, is there a difference in the course providers? I have been looking them up and they vary in price but all seem reputable providers. I have attached there websites if anyone has any info id greatly appreciate your feedback, thanks in advance Lauren :)

Hi Lauren, I know a few people that have done the NICEIC one that you have linked to. Apparently they arranged the venue for the actual test and cert was issued next day. The online course was good enough and covered the content needed to pass. You should also be able to pop up over the border and do the test in Newry or Belfast.

I managed to find somewhere local to me that would allow me to just sit the exam for ÂŁ125.
They lent me the book and a calculator (make sure the calculator you use has the square root function).

There is some videos on You Tube, Sparky Ninja that are supposed to be very good to help you prepare for the exam.

thanks very much guys for the help and advice, i wasn't sure if it made a difference which one i went with, or if working in Scotland made any difference to which provider i went with but guess they are all credited by the same body? i just need to show i have passed the course if asked to provide a cert by an employer
