Has anyone else had problems with the companies not being willing to pay out for work undertaken?

I am about to enter dispute with IWA.biz who claim they did not authorise the work and are refusing to pay. Am about to tell the householder I will return his ST system to the state I found it in and he can then go back to his insurer and get them to find someone else to fix it.

We are nearly ÂŁ500.00 out of pocket for putting right someone elses mess.

Be warned

The repair agreement only covers giving an initial quotation etc. This is as much a warning not to do anything in good faith with these companies. I suspect up to now Insured Warranties hves been a dripping roast for them. They have taken the premiums and not had to pay out. With so many people leaving the market, they are now talking a hit. Their reaction is not to act in anyones interests but their own.

When I reported a non-functioning, dangerous non MCS or 17th edition compliant installation done by one of their companies they did not want to know. Sent them a copy of my report anyway.
When I refered one of my leads to them about an repair under warranty (and customer listed us on paperwork) they gave the repair work to someone else.

Last I checked there was a ÂŁ500 threshold, below which the customer doesn't need multiple quotes for the work. Though this may have changed.
