Hi All

I have been asked to quote to wire up a summer house , I am a little concerned about movement of the wood structre throughout the different seasons of the year. If I use mini trunking between the sockets it may snake when the wood moves. Do people think it would be better in 20mm plastic conduit with some expansion joints to allow for movement.

Any views or experience of summer houses would be appreciated.

Cheers

PVC conduit is going to be a much better option... What are you going to use for ''expansion joints''??

To be honest redcbr, I have a timber studio which has been up for 7 years now and there has never been any movement in it. All depends on the structure obviously, but I wouldn't be too concerned unless it is very flimsy.
