Is the Youtube generation helping the trade?

Recently been watching a few Youtube videos/ blogs of sparks filming their day to day stuff. Just wondering about if this is good thing for the trade?

Surely it gives the DIYers some more info on carrying out stuff that should be left to qualified folk..

Any thoughts ?

IF you ask Alexa she will sing you a song! she is full of surprises is Alexa! you should give her a chance. cant do the washing up yet though unless you get a smart dishwasher

I know a lot of my customers google me before hiring me or asking me to quote so a good online presence can help.

So thats why you spend a lot of time on here then if they have Googled you ;o))))

On the flip side.

Until it ever directly effects me / takes work from me then I’ll concentrate on myself and the little bubble that is my world. If DIYers are biting off more then they can chew, it’s possibly better there is somewhere like YouTube for advise - it turns potential life threatening bodges into something a little prettier.
