Saw this install today. Have never seen anything like it, does it even comply? I'm guessing there is no loft space but how on earth are you meant to isolate it unless you have a decent set of ladders!!

Nice!

I suspect this is a council property where tenant wouldent allow access during install, if this is not the case then OMG!!

They must have had access to connect into the board/main surely? saying that, the amount of carp people have in their lofts makes me wonder if this is a better idea after all!

Ha, look at the shading too.... had similar on mine , cut down tree and output of panels doubled... had 11.5 today, 15.4 yesterday never went over 7.8 before tree.....

Assuming that the roof faces south (the shade from the tree suggests it does), then it is especially bad. Inverters shouldn't be mounted where they receive direct sunlight.

In the run-up to my panels being installed a few months ago, it seemed like a great opportunity to have a tidy and clearout of the loft - the double bonus being easier access for the installation as well as having a general household tidy-up. We've only been in our current house since the mid-2000's but it's amazing how quickly junk accumulates.

That's awesome. If I ever get any more PV installs, that's how I'm doing them. I could probably reach the inverter by standing on the back of my horse, so in that respect, it's accessible. Yeeeeeeeee-hawwwwww.

I think it is a council property, I noticed a couple of them had been done this way, does look rough though!

is that the cable running down over the bottom of one of the panels?

Other than that, the rails needing trimming a little, and the inverter being a bit stealable, I can't really fault it as the inverter has appropriate IP ratings for it's location.

We've mounted a 10,000TL externally on one install due to there being no suitable internal space, but that was mounted a bit more out of reach than this one and fairly well out of site.
