been at college today guys...and was given a pat tester for nowt.....RS (seaward) 2000.....an older piece of test kit but what the hell and it all works ok so far (see what the callibration house throws up).......got some patting coming up so will be in the back of my boss`s van that one....thanks college....:hurray:

That's the model that i have, it's a very good bit of kit!! Just a bit on the heavy side, compared with the newer more compact models out there. Think mine is the 2000iii or something like that.
Actually i acquired mine in a very similar fashion too!! lol!!

In fact almost all my test equipment has been via gratuitous means, and i have quite a collection of kit too. ..lol!!! My last bit of decent test kit was a Biddle/Megger D007 Ductor tester.

Not when your talking in ''mega bucks'' No!! ... lol!!:shocked3: The 2000 Seward Pat Tester was around 1000 + quid when it was first launched!! then add the bar code reader and the other add on's and it soon adds up, .....fast!! lol!!

Yep eng. I got the impression it could hang of your shoulders a bit if you were carrying it any distance...lol....seems well made though and i like the seperate keypad bit n all.....i remember you mentioned you had a seaward 2000/2000i ages ago in a thread i was looking at so i thought you might take a look here.....one of the side doors is missing on it (the one fot the incoming cable)....so i will try to get one from someware.....the college had dragged it out of a skip by all acounts and had made no attempt to plug it in but...hey...i aint moanin..lol......
