I have a JG JGWC wired control centre which has lost power. Have been advised it is discontinued and replacement is JGWC4 which is differently wired internally?
Top is current one now discontinued
Bottom replacement one

It wont have lost power because it is a discontinued panel and JG have brought out a replacement panel!

Layout slightly different but same terminals/connections by look of it!

Think you need to establish why it has lost power as likely the replacement panel wont work either.

I'll take a guess that the transformer on the original panel has popped its thermal fuse. These wiring centres often get placed in positions where the ambient temperature can reach 50C or so, and that, combined with the heat produced by the Tx in its normal operation, can take its temperature past the fuse's popping point.

Didn't mean it had lost power due to it being discontinued! Meant old panel was better and new had different wiring etc. Can't work out y it's lost power as electrician had a look and fuses within panel ok. Also all wires have power.

Are you a electrician/ ufh specialist and local to Derby?

No both fuses test ok

It's a thermal fuse, built deep into the transformer, that I'm referring to, not the replaceable cartridge fuses on the panel.
Is it possible to access the thermal fuse, I would rather try to fix any issue with current panel as too much messing around changing wires over to new board which I'm not to keen on. Anyone local in Derby would be good ĹŁo check it out

Not usually easy to get to the thermal fuse as they are often fitted under the windings. Easier to replace the transformer with a suitable new one. The old transformer is closely surrounded by plastic which will severely hinder its heat dissipation. The new one will use a switched mode power supply that generates less heat.

The 2 units are have different terminal layouts but the connections used are the same so swapping should be straightforward. Don't forget to set the dip switches to the correct settings.

3 core wouldn't, but 3 core and earth should I think. The live from the UH4 could feed both the brown and grey of the valve.
