As I remember it, there was 3 options.
1. I could test it myself, if registered, I think you then didnt have to pay anything.
2. You could pay £50 if it was wired by a qualified spark (ie me).
3. You had to pay £200 if it was wired by someone who wasnt qualified.
My parents obviously took the £50 option (and I did a quick ring and loop tests myself).
