I have recently moved house and relocated to a new county. I have a simple chrome fix to do at the moment. I showed the client some spare deta chrome i had so i installed what i had spare to save me some cash and the went to the wholesalers for the rest. As usual they dont stock it in store, simple i thought just order it in, you have to order online was the response. So i go home load up the site (its the one where you cant see the prices until you register) and it bounces back denying me. I rang the customer service line and the women messed me about but eventually i get a response.
I cant register for an account because i am not on the electoral role linked to my home( been here a fortnight). So i still couldn't setup a trade account after all that! The women then said you could be claiming to be anyone and commit fraud. REALLY DUMMY i have been in to store previously and had paid for items. I wasn't after credit but a simple order in and pay service is all i ask. This particular wholesaler is widely disliked by other sparks in my area due to similar issues. Proves some people have no common sense.....

Sorry to hear your story. Can't say I have any problems with these wholesalers, but then I think it's down to local staff sometimes. They have sales targets to meet so should be helpful. If you gave an account already then surely it doesn't matter you have moved? I use different branches when away. My branch also get materials in for me from their website, a mixture of delivery direct and delivery to the branch and the van brings it out.

Surley if if you go into a branch you can order and pay at the counter if you explain you can't open an online account.
