Just think of the blade runner that has breed with an adjustable copper pipe cutter.

In my opinion only, another over priced mantle piece, or something for someone who is new to the game and seriously cackhanded.

Just expresing my opinion but its pretty easy with a hacksaw and a knife. And if knives are dangerous, how are we gonna cut the --- panels out of CU's? Maybe there is a tool for that too lol

You get a pipe cutter for 20 quid, this thing is 3 times the price.

Look on you tube for a demo
You wont find a pipe cutter that can cut along the length of the cable.
Its not easy Burnt Fingers to strip swa. There is plenty of evidence that shows injuries occur, and I add myself to the statistics at least 3 times. I am not new or cackhanded. People complained when seat belts were made compulsory but the reason is clear now.
We all have a duty in the Construction industry to reduce any injuries and adopt safer working practises.

I know you wont. But cutting along the outer isn't worth 50 quid extra.

Might just be me being old fashioned though

I do feel like I've been sucked into a sales pitch. I don't like being sucked in. If you've something to sell, sell it. If it costs to advertise, pay the price. As it happens, I do use a blade runner as I find it easier to do small csa SWA with that than a hacksaw. Still use a stanley to remove the pvc.

Hows about SWA cables above 6mm?? other than hacksaw and knife I dont know of anything that will do a 120mm 4 core or a 185mm 4 core??

I'm not supporting one product or the other. I love new innovation and I'm always the first to try new toys.
My personal experience was that I was fairly impressed with the blade thing, it worked great on smaller size SWA and was a good tool for my apprentice to start with. However, it didn't quite cut the mustard when compared to my trusty electricians knife which I've had for 10 years. My knife cost me £18, it was never too sharp that I would cut myself rummaging through my tool bag when the cap had come off. However it was always perfect when stripping off a layer of insulation.
