L-shaped wall tile cuts - templating, measuring accurately any tips?

There's a video on youtube of a guy templating for large format floor tiles, and I get the principle, but it seems a bit sloppy for me, as the cuts are hidden by a door jamb. I have 4 L -shaped cuts to do, two around the top of a Window reveal, and two around the ends of a bath. The ones around the bath are more forgiving as will have a silicone bead over them when finished. The window reveal will be butted up to tile edge trim so must be as near to perfect as possible!

Measuring a tile so far has been straight forward enough, especially when setting next to an existing straight and level tile. The bath edges have a slight curve, and the Window reveal will be critical as it's highly visible. I'm thinking of cutting out some cardboard templates (the same size as the tiles) and cutting, but not entirely sure how to do it well enough or accurately enough.

Are there any good youtube videos or instructions on how to achieve this?
