hi mark, so you didnt involve labc and are you with niciec? cheers, nathan.

No i'm with ElecSa but i did phone Napit originally to ask about LABC and they told me about the 30 day time scale.

I just found IMO ElecSa better value for money

Mark

tell me about it mate, worked as a mate at 15 , 16,did my 236 1/2 few years later, happy doing domestics, just sat my eal/17th last month purley for legal reasons, was halfway through my 10 day course and quite honestly thought "do i really want to be doing all this sh@@" sad to admit but i really wouldnt reccomend any one into this industry, bring back the old skills centres!real assesment! part p/17th now can be done by distance learning??? jeepers!!!

cudaboy, i agree it gets harder as you get older, just signed up for my 17th edition at the age of 49, got to do it so im in the know for my next niceic assessment, installation of all sorts is no problem at my age ive done all types, but those technical questions at assessment bother me, so hopefully i will be able to answer questions more easily afterwards, then im gonna do me testing course !!!!!
regards dave

dont get me wrong, i love what i do too {wife says my job easy as i just play with wires...} guess just frustrating! they be legislating garages next or somthing else dumb, ironically i used to do periodics years ago when employed, now i have to pay up to ÂŁ1000 to get 2391 so can do it again.....but gotta save first! thanks for advice all, lifted my spirits, cheers and man hugs!!!;););););)

yeh i used to do periodics, but did you know that periodics do not come under part p legislation, so we can still do them but not under part p, but most insurers want niceic or alternative so doing our own certs may not be good enough.

anyway who wants to test others peoples crappy work ?
