Lady not speaking to me

I am currently having issues with my Alexa service on a sonos play one
Every time I try to start session by calling her name ,I get an immediate response with a
Sorry I am having trouble understanding you right now
I have tried disabling the skill and re-enabling ,but no change
any ideas Folks

The mic is switched on and when The speaker hears the name Alexa, it automatically responds with the words

Had Alexa play up a bit over the past few days. Maybe server overloaded with everyone annoying Alexa over Christmas?

Working in folks houses I get to hear them trying to communicate with these devices. Some of what's said makes me think this is perhaps a subroutine triggered after the 1000th swear word .

Not meant to be an ignorant question, but how broad is your Irish accent? I speak with a west country accent and Alexa has difficulty understanding that.

@Pete999 being a somerset bumpkin myself Alexa responds to me, she will even sing me a song if i ask!
