Ok so I'm doing a little job for someone, (Just changing some switch/Socket/FCU, fronts) The lady I'm doing it for wanted some Nickel effect sockets, and she was mighty suprised when she saw the price, Even trade prices from wholesalers were a bit steep. But she has her heart set on them, and found some LAP sockets from screwfix

Has anyone used these LAP products before? Are they any good? or should I stay clear ?

have a look at TLC their gear is usually ok.

used it and its a cheap version of BG Nexus range...!.... seemed ok but had a few failures on the threads
Seems to be a weak point on them, heard of a few threads going.

Thanks for the replies guys, I'll end up buying some longer screws anyway as the fronts are going on a tiled wall. The customer has already ordered the sockets, But as long as there has been no serious issues with them it'll do for me.

Just make it clear that if the customer is specifying and buying the sockets, you will not put any kind of warranty on them other than your workmanship, and if they fail for any reason there will be a callout charge involved.
Always keep a bag of 50mm x 3.5mm screws in your box, along with a non-ratchet crimping tool just for the brass screw-cutting facility. :)
