Here's the situation. For whatever reason this domestic installation has ended up with a washing machine hard wire to a fused, switched (with neon) switch (that was obviously once a cooker switch) supplied by a 10mm T&E on a 16A MCB. A 13A fuse is installed in the switch. The cooker (which has a manufacturers supplied 3 pin plug) is plugged into what was obviously the old washing machine socket outlet beneath the work surface. The cooker switch has no labelling to say "cooker", or "washing machine" come to that. The occupier is quite happy that the washing machine is plugged into the switch. Bizarre I agree but is this OK?
