My gut feeling is that there will be a 21p rush to avoid the potential c rating but there won't be a 43p rush because I reckon the government will just string out all the appeals until 3/3 anyway so by the time we have clarity it will be too late.

Just got my MCS renewal through the post today - got 30 days to pay it - wonder if the c rating decision will be through by then? If it's staying I can't really see the point in renewing .... maybe NICEIC have cottoned on to that.

DECC still haven't released the actual draft Licence, but this doesn't normally happen until it has been passed anyway.

I can't imagine this one includes anything about EPCs, as Barker would surely have mentioned it in his written statement.

As I said earlier, I expect there will be another Licence amendment that will apply from 1st April which will have to be laid before Parliament by about 20th Feb. There will have to be another just to incorporate the RPI tariff increases in any case.

Having checked the calendar I think 21st Feb is the absolute latest DECC can present changes to Parliament to implement by 1st April. Parliament is on holiday from 9th to the 20th Feb so it will be interesting to see how DECC approach that as well.

I've heard we won't here anythink till the 9th of feb, so potentially we could have a 2 week period of shear mentalness!! Up until the 3rd of march which seems very convenient for the government !!
