Lighting around wood burner

Customer has requested some lighting in the fireplace to light up the wood burner.

I have seen cabling like this before and it didn't look degraded due to heat, but would like to make an effort to protect the cable. What would be the best way?

I've done similar things above AGAs using FP200, a metal only spot light fitting and your standard GU10 Halogen lamp, the only time I'd recommend a Halogen lamp :wink5:
