I have a customer who wants their skylight to be lit up. The kitchen is being built at the moment so this is not retrospective. I have never fitted one of these at the moment so was hoping for a few ideas?

The customer doesn’t want the lights to be visible, just for the skylight to have a light shining up it when they want (I.e. switched).

From the bit of research I have done it seems that a lip has to be built on the bottom of the skylight for the strip light to be fitted. In addition the horizontal lip has to have a vertical lip on the side so that you can’t actually see the strip light itself. Also it looks like it may have to be in a metal channel or perhaps have a diffuser otherwise you can see all the little LED’s reflecting in the glass of the skylight?

Here is a link of something similar to what I am looking to achieve skylight lighting - Google Search - https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=skylight+lighting&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-gb&client=safari#imgrc=2Q16GxPLS4r6VM:
