London Day Rates

Afternoon all, been offered some work subbying to a firm doing site temporaries for a couple of weeks, unsure what to say as a day rate, what's the going rate for subbying in central London at the moment? I currently charge £30ph for my own contracts based in Surrey/Berkshire, Cheers!

I would think that they will set the rate which they are willing to pay.

Think the op is looking for specifics! If they pitch lower than the main contractors willing to pay then what good is that. I guess those working in the smoke will be able to suggest a "£ from - to".

£130 a day I think you need to renegotiate that one. Seems a bit low to me

The problem here is that many vacancies in London Are advertised via agencies, these pay approx £13-14 per hour, usually 8-9 hours per day.
If on the other hand you are talking about direct to a contractor then you could be looking at £140-160 per day.

i know at least 30 sparks working on different sites in Central London at the moment.Only one of them is geting more then £140 a day
