Hi, i'm new to these forums so i appologise if this is in the wrong section.
Basically i have been looking to getting into the electrical trade for 6 months now and i am finding it really difficult, i left school with 6 gcse's and i was told that i only need 3 gcse's to get into the raf and do ground electrical work but after ringing up i found out that one of these gcse's had to be english and unfortunatly i got a D in english (2 marks off a C!) So now i am stuck without an apprentaship or electrican course. I have rang around 3 colleges recently to see if they had any courses available but none of them are taking on new people, i have also went on a endless amount of sites to try and find an apprentaship but ive never had a reply to any of the apprentaship's i've applied to.
I'm currently doing my A levels studying ICT, Sociology and Business and it's going fairly well but i really don't thinks it's for me and i feel that becoming an electrician is the only thing i can see myself doing.
Anyway, I'm looking for someone who is willing to take on a apprentice in the Birmingham area, i live in Northfield so it would be great if you are near by but i am preapred to travel if i need to.
Thanks,
Rhys.
