Nope..I dread the day we need to start notifying ...just another headache on top the other admin.
Think you will find rewiring flats and anything over 3 storeys and above need a building warrant.
in turn they need a certificate of construction for the work carried out.
this is due to the fire integrity of the structure. Probably being compromised in the rewiring.
some labc depts are tighter on this than others though.
this has been in since 2005 so I would think they know the score by now, but apparently not.
 
So, you are telling me you can get literally your mum to rewire your house and don't have to have any qualifications what so ever, or experience, and just do it and don't need to notify, and don't have any part pee, and that's ok? Oh and no need to be in a scam?

If that's the case, it just sounds so illegally wrong and you could literally have hundreds of cowboys doing work for people that make Electrical Trainee look good.
 
going in at the deep end here and no armbands; met a sparks mate who'd come off council rewires early 90's south uk......3 blokes, 1 day, 'by hook or by crook'... his words!
