Yep thanks, I think that is the most suitable solution and note on the EIC. The client is a mate of mine, so I suspect in the course of time we can remove the radiator, crimp the old sso connections and blank off the socket. Then provide a new suitable supply cable from the new CU. But for the assessment, I think Engineer54 solution is the answer to my predicament.

If you believe that there is no "real and immediate danger" then you have made an assessment of the circuit to this effect.
If you then inform your assessor of the fact that you have assessed the circuit and noted down the non compliance with the regulations then you may be OK as it will show that you are aware of the situation and have made attempts to rectify it and taken account of the hazards and risks associated with it.
However it is your decision at the end of the day what you do as you are the competent person on site.

Yep I get your drift, just getting a bit nervious re the assessment, and didn't want to look a complete twit.

Client has elected to replace garage CU with new supply cable. We got a Zs db of 1.04ohms, another good reason to replace the supply.

I have a question about pme supplies to remote buildings, but I'll start a new thread for that.

IMO if the client is having a whole bank or rcbo s, then he would probably be willing to pay a bit extra for safe termination/investigation/connection to fused spur of the armoured.
