How do you pull out the fuse your self, I've phoned for permission to cut seal and got refused by dno and then went to the supplier they said I can as long as I test and leave certificate for them I'm really confused about changing a consumer unit and pulling the fuse. Help would be very greatful.

If it wasn't dangerous why should DNO engineer's wear IR gloves, gauntlets, full face protection and flame retardant clothing.

Most of the WPD lads around here wear 501's and a smile. Raybans for hot days only.

the point i`m making is pullin a bastid fuse has gone epic....
and i dont buy for one second that most in here havn`t done it because of `elf n safety`...so stop blaggin....

We'll all be tripping up over garage forecourts next week - best be banning those pesky kerbs and not minding when the alarm goes off.

Come on, were talking about the incomer which is protected at the supply transformer by what? 200A 250A 300A etc, different ball game.

60-100amps will f$*k you up!

isn't 30milliamp the upper limit of safe!

work safe, sensibly, use your skills/knowledge/training as you would always when working with electricity.

(its a fuse).........................

I supply my guys eye protection for when they clip cables, as yet no one has worn them for this, not because it cant happen but how unlikely, but if someone loses an eye not my fault I supplied eye protection
