Hi
could someone clarify for me please if I use a Henley block to add a shower unit next to my cu is it compulsory to put a 100A main switch between the meter and the Henley block?:)

Will do. Though I will probably get mauled badly by the receptionist don't Know where they get them from but always feel as though you are inconveniencing them in some way or your some kind of lesser being, this has been my experience thus far anyway.

They get them from the same receptionist school that doctors receptionists and school receptionists go to, the one where they teach them on the first day that the organisation where they will work will not be able to function at all without them making sure everything happens, and to treat everybody the same, i.e. with major disdain.

Spoke to NICEIC about this yesterday.

Their interpritation is that the origin of an installation is the 1st point after the meter, therefore if there is more than 1 CU in the installation then a single main swith is required for isolation of the complete system.

Again this is the interpritation of the regs by NICEIC.
