Morning all

Went into my suppliers to pick up some Hager MF JBs the other day, (which I've used a few times but a bit pricey), to be told that they only had one in stock, when I asked why, he said because they don't hardly shift any, so I asked what other sparks are using as MF he just shrugged his shoulders and said "just get asked for normal JBs"
So is it a case of people not complying do you think or are they getting stuff online such as the Line products?

What does everyone else prefer to use?
I've just ordered my first batch of Line ones are they any good?

I just twist the cables together and tape up... if the joint requires IP rating then an empty crisp packet meets my needs, it my bit done for recycling and been green.

Genuinely shocked. How the hell can you obtain a sufficient IP rating without the use of an elastic band? I prefer those red ones the postie leaves all over my drive because a) I'm recycling therefore doing my bit and b) they're red for danger innit. It's in the regs you know.

Otherwise, Wagobox here. Might try Line next time. Might not. That's the way I roll.

Julian i think youll find your use of elastic bands wont meet regulation as the plasticers breakdown very quickly in elastic bands and also they have very low tolerance to UV radiation ......you can make an effective cable entry seal with chewing gum and my finding is Hubba Bubba is a good choice, think about it it stays on the pavement for years without degrading in all weathers ;)

what do you expect from wholesalers who take a week to get you a part from another UK branch, when you can get it from china in 48 hours?

Couldnt agree more, the level of service and general electrical knowledge of many wholesalers is shocking.
I went to buy a new R2 wander lead a few months ago from one, and they had no idea what I was talking about. I tried explaining every way I could.
In the end I bought it off tinternet, and probably at a cheaper price.
