hi guys,

Just to let you know I went with the Makita, came with 2 batterys and an impact driver, ÂŁ360 inc VAT,

I know i could of got it cheaper online, but went to the local hardware shop, just incase i had any problems with it ie batterys, chucks etc save messing around sending it back via parcels and post and what not, they do it all for free down there and they usally take good care of me!

Thanks alot!

Would agree with buying it local for the reasons stated. Near to me we have a tool hire place which is a Makita dealer and also Travis Perkins who are too. Not can they be played of against each other for price, but Travis will mostly match an online price.

I just bought another one from my local supplier as was after and additional batt and charger admit worked out only and extra ÂŁ30 for the drill body and a nice aluminium case with the deal they were doing. :). Now I have a spare drill incase the main jobby ever fails.

Hi JoshyJ88,

in my experience as a seller of top quality tools, the BHP451 is the best seller. However, you should keep in mind that the Makita Lithium Ion is a system that allows you to purchase other 18v Litium Ion Cordless tools that can be used with the same battery. Would you be looking to purchase other 18v Cordless tools?

Kind Regards,

Mo

First class piece of kit. plenty of torque. Just finished building a large deck and pergola. Did well banging in 4" coach screws.

Battery lasts well. Have read lots of issues regarding the li-ion batteries failing but touch wood i'm been ok so far.
