Hi guys, just about to start my level 2 c & g. Have been looking at various different sets of tools that I could start off with and gradually build up my tool collection. One thing that has caught my eye is a 96 piece makita electricians tool kit pouch, for between 40 - ÂŁ55 on amazon eBay etc and includes screwdrivers, drill bits etc. Would this be something along the right lines! I know makita drills etc however are the non electric tools of the same quality as no one seems to have mentioned them on the forums. Any other info for someone starting up would be greatly appreciated! thanks Danny

Thanks, would I be right in saying CK was the best and to try and stick with them wherever possible?

a lot of tools comes own to personal preference mate the ck one certainly is a good set. i have ck drivers snips and the knipex ones. i also have a nice handy tin set by klauke. buy wisely and buy once. the comfort thing really matters if you are using them all day long mate so nip down to the wholesalers have a look at the drivers and grab a couple see which ones you like

No there are a few companies that do good hand tools i.e NWS, Bahco, CK, Kewtechnic, estwing(for your hammer), some manufactures make some tools better than others.

Comes down to personal preferance, having sold these units before and seeing them i think it is ok as a starter pack.
but you will soon get a feel for the tools that are a better quality, and also easier to work with.
Get this or something similar and then replace them with better versions as you go.
