Like the look of the range of control on the Durofix but its about a third more expensive than:

it is mate. i have seen a really small cam on the bay that you could pop onto the rods and view through a little lcd screen. i have a lcd fault finder for the cctv systems for a couple of years and a bullet type cam that has the same thread size as the cable rods. its great as i can get as many mtrs through voids as the cable i attatch to it. i would like a really narrow one for it though for narrow work

Just a thought but mobile phones have USB ports, wouldn't it be handy if there was an app to use a USB snake cam on you phone.

Don't think my eyes would be good enough or hands steady enough for the fine circuits in one though but there must be a way.

Works well without the extension cable!

It would be but the bloody mrs keeps ringing ! it would take me about a week just to look under the floor !

Was toying with the idea of making one for the lap top with a USB cable, web cam and LED torch. Just rip out the web camera and put it on a long lead and use a LED with a variable resistor preferably powered from the USB. Then you could have the option of putting it on rods as you like and made very cheaply. Just a thought.

Got mine today wacked it under the sofa to see what I could find. Thought I found a head band and a big Choc gold coin but it was a little band and a pound coin. Everything looks so big.

works fine on the 3m extension.

I find the head has to be about a foot from the object to be life size on screen but the LED light isn't bright enough to reach that far in dark?

Looks like I might have to make my own when i wack it in a void i want to see along the beams etc as the one I just bought is no that long and with the light. HMMM

Ok to put in a hole to look in close proximity though.

Are the £200 + ones much better???
