Hi,

Just thought id share with you my newly made MCB storage setup and charging station.

I just need to fit a smoke detector in the charging station so that I can leave batteries unattended whilst on charge as in the garage.

Also, some photos of the lights I have just fitted to the side of the house today whilst im off sick with Chicken Pox. The ones down the side and round the back are on 3x PIR flush in the soffit. The front ones are controlled from the photocell down the side.

Nice set up, if you get a smoke detector with aux relay then you could have it cut the power to the sockets ;) ...just a thought - a noisy smoke detector is only good if you can hear it, what if you out! :bigear:

Well organised and tidy, like it.
I have to say though, those lights do nothing for me except to make me think .."who on earth did the brickwork ?"

That's not a bad idea actually. Those 4 doubles are just fed from a 13a FCU the other side of the wall so would be easy to cut it.

The smokes I use are Aico Ei166RC, ive got one in every room of the house at present.

I don't know as haven't looked into it, but could I use the signal wire from it maybe? Just a thought? But I would still need a neutral to match it which would be a problem I suppose. Have you any ideas how it may be achieved?

Good idea though, I like that.

The brickwork, yes I see what you mean, it doesn't look like that when you are standing there. But yes it does tend to highlight the shoddy workmanship. Its a Taylor Wimpey house built in 2000.

This is a picture just after I built it all the other week, I have to say i quite enjoyed cutting up some wood.

And the other is all the shelves I put in at the same time, they are 300mm wide and I think 21ft long each if I remember.

The garage has had a proper sort out since this pictures and all the shelves organized properly and flood cleared.

Just fit a relay base rather than mucking about trying to connect to the link terminal

Ei128

Of course they do one, what use is a smoke alarm system you can't get relay bases for???

Very true, Ill get one of them, thats such a good idea, it can't hurt to cut the power to the alarms.

Now I know I can do that, what else do you think I should get it to do? What would you want to happen in your house if your smokes went off?
