MEB? What is it?

It should be pointed out that it has not been called Main Equipotential Bonding since the 16th Edition was replaced by the 17th Edition. The correct term is now Main Protective Bonding.

If there are extraneous conductive parts and there is no Main Protective Bonding to these then the installation is unsafe and no electrical work (no matter how small) should have taken place without correcting this.

Salesman phoned to say he tested Electrics and had no problem to report.

When asked why they charged for Bonding he has said thet was to pay the electrician fee and maybe we will get a refund.

He also states we are perfectly safe and it was just an upgrade to 10mm needed.

We also happen to be the first ever to have this problem!

Thank you for all replies
