Does anyone else have ones of these? If so, have you mastered the blue-tooth transfer function?

I'm having problems getting my head around it.

I'm using windows XP wih a USB blue-tooth adapter.

Any help would be GREATLY appriciated!

Thanks,

WS

firstly...the CM200 is an old model....late 90s i think.....it doesn`t do a 2 wire loop....just the traditional method.....the point i was getting at is its quicker than Leigh`s metrel at both low ohms and IR....
When it comes to RCDs i just bridge em with some 2.5mm CSA wire i drag out of some old stuff we strip out.....i just break it out of the grey whenever i need it....or i will use calculation.....prefer to get a direct measurement of Zs though....but thats just me.....and i cant believe that at 21:22 one of the neighbours has got a bloody stihlsaw going.....

Well, after using my 1730 for a few weeks, I don't do a 2-wire either :)

i mean whats the point in a 2 wire loop test anyway?...what was the selling point of this?.....Megger cant claim its for having one hand free to press test as you use a croc normally anyway for the earth lead...i mean i use a lightmate and green croc for doin a Zs on a lighting circuit.....and if its about getting a Zs at a switch....well..you could just use a short wander lead to pick up the test current from the neutral at a BC/ES lampholder anyway......then test loop (line-earth) at the switch.....

Hello WelshSparks

Sorry you are struggling with the Bluetooth feature on your MFT1730. Please contact out Tech Support Department on 01304 502102 and we will be happy to talk you through the procedure.
Megger does monitor forums but with so many we do sometimes miss them or find them late. It is always best to contact us directly on [email protected] with any query so that we can sort it out as quickly as possible.
Please also be assured that we listen to customer feedback and endeavour to produce testers that are easy to use and do what electricians want. The MFT1700 series is a case in point where we have made several updates since its launch based on customer feedback.
Apart from the phone number and email address above anybody is welcome to talk directly with us at one of the many events we attend every year in the UK which can be found on our website. In 2011 we spoke face-to-face with over 10,500 customers in this way.

Kind Regards

Megger Technical Support

i have just bought one with onsite software. all looks good, but my only concern is that even after talking to megger for 2 hours, we still can't get my pc to find the mft on Bluetooth it can find my phone and other devices, just not the mft. now, they said they are gonna send me out some updated "firmware/software/download manager" or something or other, as the one's in the box might be old, but i still don't know why it won't talk to my pc, and as its the only way to connect it to the pc, "as there are no connecting leads" then it might turn out to be a waste.
any ideas on it, if someone else had a problem too, would be greatly appreciated.

As this thread has re apeared again i will add an update. We now own two 1730's both having problems and out of action. we have been getting Kewtech KT63's for the other guys and all I can say is they are much better, the case is robust, simple to use, readings on high ELI and no trip ELI the same, and half the price.... only thing it dont do is a ramp test on RCD's. but I now prefer the KT63 compared to my broken case random reading 1730! I may send the 1730's off to megga to get them to repair them, but at what cost? and how long. I really dont want to wait a month for them to try repair it and it still play up.
