how old is this fire alarm system? - Menvier fire system 6000.

ho wold do you reckon i am? that's about the same amount of info as you have given.
 
ohhh Series 6000....15 years old + ....discontinued but if its working fine. Only difference between this and modern panels, is a short circuit = fire,and not fault.... so the call points may not have 470 ohm resistors
 
No Mark some of these older systems, had no resistors just N/O contacts.....you may see this in some panel manual, stating set switch 1 for pre 1980 mode.
 
Nothing wrong with that, I recommend wiring the upstairs lighting direct from the shower via a pir, when you go into the bedroom to get your jammas on the shower will automatically start and warm the floor via a volt free contact so when you go to the loo afterwards you may get wet feet but they will be warm.
