you will have to cut out a section and fit new pots glands and seals and replace the damaged section, probably cheaper to replace damaged bit with swa as pyro isnt cheap, mind you neither are pots glands and seals

The biggest problem is knowing the size of the cable and it could be imperial. If you get it wrong then you are left with having to get more glands (that are usually in packs of 10). I would leave well alone as you could spend hours on it, have packs of glands left over and a customer not wanting to pay for what you have done.
Also if you have never done pyro before you will have all sorts of problems.

Is MICC allowed to be buried these days? Tell your client if he wants the job done he wants to have it done properly, I don't think I've heard anything so ridiculous as buried MICC this month. There's still time of course:)

Last time I looked, you can bury the plastic coated stuff with all the usual tapes, depth, etc.

i love doing a spot of MICC, did a bit in Stoneyhurst Church not so long ago, stripped all the insulation off so it looked the part clipped up the wall feeding the speakers!

Really think you will have to install two joints with a link in between. How far is the break from either the CU or the shed?because if close you could joint in a new length of SWA

pyrotenax RJMZ20 is a brass sleeve with a 20mm thread at each end (internal) which is for inline through joint repair ,but you would need to get 2 glands to fit the cable, if its imperial your on a looser unless you measure od. of copper sheath and compare with metric cable to see if there is a compatable size
