Location
Under the banana tree.
I don't think this as been done before, so as the title suggest's! what has been the most enjoyable job you have done to date, not for profit etc, but purely for enjoyment and satisfaction.
I think there could be some good replies here regarding locations etc.

I would say mine was one of many installations relating to the installation of Granutech ( American company ) Tyre shreddder systems

the job was down in cerne abbas Dorchester, a beautiful part of the country.
Job involved;
design and building of control panels, including interconnection of the americans panels (always massive panels with not a lot in them )
installation of containment, traywork
isolators and motor connections
safety circuits
Commisioning the sysytem with the friendliest texan you could meet ( Mark ) who drank black coffee by the bucket load

Also the 16th century Inn we stayed in was beautiful, Great host Mike, great food and hospitality.

I genuinley didn't want to come home.

Now i know my example won't be the most exotic, excitng or technical work but it was one of my favourite's.

So what was yours!

As an Apprentice 19 years old, laying about 3 miles of underground cable for street lighting at a female teachers training college in the beautiful outskirts of the City of Bath, lovely weather, smashing gang of blokes, got tanned and spent the lunch breaks watching all the crumpet milling around, happy days.

Trust you lol, now that you have scared everyone away ( or maybe it is a boring thread ) you need to offer up your best job now.
With no sarcasm :toetap05:

There's been a lot so difficult to pick one
Working at Newcastle City Hall years back was a good one, loads of long hard hours but on the upside you got to see an awful lot of bands free, meet and talk to and often learn from very talented musicians and there were always willing young ladies who for whatever reason didn't have tickets....
A few weeks back for the first time in years there was pyro specced on a job, it was an absolute pleasure to work with the stuff again.
A company I worked for got a council contract one very long hot summer which was outdoors in one of the better parks in town. Lots of scantily clad women wandering about
Could probably list a load more but it would bore you eventually.

working on dry dock in barcelona set up container workshop in a day then two weeks sunning it.
or jamaica all inclusive for a day in sandals hotel waiting for a plane.
Now that sounds like hard work

Just finished working on a maximum security prison here in darwin. Every day for 5 months was blue skies. 35-39 degrees. loved working here. Installing masses of tray work. Basket. Conduit. Not being rushed just getting told to get it done properly. Anything we needed we got. The project manager was really on the ball and it made our job that much easier. And double time Saturdays is always a nice touch, even paying for subbies to do EWP courses and data courses. Wouldn't happen in the Uk

I am looking forward to replies from a few certain members, Tony, Eng54, Darkwood, Telectrix to name a few

Rewiring a mansion during the summer of 1961 it was beside the Thames at Goring, Oxfordshire so plenty of eye candy on the boats. We were allowed to use the swimming pool during lunch breaks and after a days hard graft. The foreman sparks was so good to work with, he instilled craftsmanship, pride, diligence, and satisfaction so rarely experienced on more recent jobs.

Wiring a castle in Newcastle for a business man who was in his 50s originally from Pakistan and had a blonde girlfriend of 25 and a nurse. Staring at her all day and the brand spanking new Ferrari in the garage was hard to beat plus the fact that he gave me free entrance to the comedy club in Newcastle which he owns!
Perks of the job ehh?

It would be a theatre job, sitting astride the truss over the stage testing the last multicores as rehearsals for the dance numbers were already underway. Interesting view downwards - got flown in for a closer look.
