Ive got a slight problem, customer requires CU to be upgraded and moved about 8feet away from origonal position.
Im goin to put it next to incoming supply, only trouble ive got is all extended cables require jointing and are all going to be face fixed as i cant hide them, ie PVC trunking. Junction boxes are a no no, other than crimping is there any other conectors on the market i can get. existing CU is at ceiling height, but i cannot access under floors.

Cheers! On the box i did i think there are 9 4core armoureds into the top and 2 copexs out of the bottom with a couple of cts glands for some fps and a fibre. Ive never done any proper domestic work but its what i want to do, which is why im on this forum attempting to learn! Please take a couple of pics of the finished article, id like to wee what you end up doing!

Sorry i missed your last post, the terminals are a good size but 6mm may be pushing it for that size din strip. We use L.E.D controls to get our gear from, they are competitively priced and dont stock crap. I

The CU move was based on the fact that the old wirable fuse box was! wait for it a whopping EIGHT Mtrs from incoming Supply fed by 10mm twin and earth. 8way fuse board no RCDs, minimal earth protection, 4mm stranded.
