Hi,
Im wiring an extension that is being made into an open plan room, the wall that the db was on has been knocked down and the customer wants it moving into a kitchen wall unit a few feet away, the joints will have to be made in the ceiling (concrete floor, bath above) so i was thinking a huge plastic adaptable box with stuffing glands, and connector block inside, would this be ok as the box wouldnt be accessible once the ceiling has been re boarded? Or is there anything better suited out there?

Cheers

The amendment was issued on the 1st of July 2011, and is intended to come into effect on the 1st of January 2012.
Installations designed after the 31st of December must comply with the amended version.
The Regulations aren't statutory, so there is no legal requirement to comply with them.
As such it is your choice whether to comply with the ammended version, up untill the 31st of December.
However if you decide to apply the amendment, it must be in it's entirety.
