Are they 'employees' thou ?

His business model appeared to be hiring a bunch of subbies to 'work' from him with none of the benefits of being an actual 'employee'

That said lots of plumbers prefer to work as subbies on day rate rather than being cards in

In the accounts for Pimlico to May 2020 it shows an average of 87 operational employees over the year.
A further 94 admin and 2 Directors.

The news article quotes over 400 workers, depending on how they count admin / workers / operations there must be at least 200 subbies.

As is usual with larger companies there's a Holding company, Group company and several companies within the group, Pimlico Plumbers Ltd being one, presumably includes all the other trades they work in.
I would imagine it's only that company that's been sold and the building they operate out of will remain leased from one of the other companies.

He’ll be able to afford the several hundred thousand pound campervan he was looking at on the programme I watched…. He even admitted it was easier to drive than his Daimler… (it’s the size of a bus!)

He did, however, ask where the staff slept

Make no mistake .....The way he earned his money might appeal to some .But no better than pikies charging your gran 30k to tarmac her livingroom . The ---- i have had to sort out with PP is crazy and a few times its been settled on the court doors . But they will take it all the way to those doors hoping people will back down

Agreed whatever people think of him he has done well, obviously a good/ shrewd businessman.
