Just to clarify, this isn't a new build, it's about 10-15 old.
It's one of those odd installs where everything is there, in the right place, the right size and spec, good quality components but looks to have been I stalled by a toddler.
Nothing is level, no cables are supported properly, DB- a Hager- correctly populated but no labelling.
Then spend time and effort with pointless bonding.
if its metallic glitter, you wd have to bond it also..Hmm yes I was wondering about the crud too..
Pipes lagged up, flow stickers applied(sort of), earth warning tag done.. but why bother? It’s RAF..
You can’t polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter
Should have put a stop end on that copper. There's bound to be someone who will open that isolator valve!
Like it, how far did that run back to the MET?
Only about 2 meters lol one I did last year in a cellar.Like it, how far did that run back to the MET?
Look at how new the cable & clamp is on mine. The plastic pipe is much older.Has it not occurred to anyone that the pipes were once all copper when originally bonded?....just saying.....
'party pooper alert'!
Most likely demanded by a meter installer that doesn’t have a clue. I once was waiting for a new fuse in a long time empty property & because his volt stick didn’t light up said they would need to dig road up. Until I pointed out the supply branched off & fed next door. Spent the next half hour looking very sheepish while he installed the isolator lol.Sometimes you do something like that to shut up the health and safety guy with his clipboard and pen demanding all sorts of stuff no sane electrician would do
Could be but why let details like that get in the way of a good slagging off session?Has it not occurred to anyone that the pipes were once all copper when originally bonded?....just saying.....

Unfortunately accurate, often it just makes life that little bit easier.Sometimes you do something like that to shut up the health and safety guy with his clipboard and pen demanding all sorts of stuff no sane electrician would do
