Must install a 4" piece of copper as any fool knows it's pointless bonding the plastic.

Anyone beat this for a pointless bonding picture.

[ElectriciansForums.net] Must bond, must bond, must bond. Pointless bonding pictures.

I remember arguing with a site inspector a few years back, he complained we hadn't put in water bonding in any of the houses. I said there was no point as the incoming pipe was plastic, and the internal plumbing was all plastic, with the exception of about 1' of L shaped copper pipe after the stopcock that was used to stop the plastic pipework flapping about when the stopcock was operated. The rest of the pipework under the sink was plastic to the taps etc. He refused to sign off any of the houses until it was installed. I was not happy at all. In the end we had to install bonding to get the houses passed.

It's bad from a plumbing perspective too. It's a 'dead leg' which contributes towards growth of legionella bacteria. Redundant outlets 'should' be fully removed back to the T, and replaced with a straight connector.

A classic example of trying to fix one problem (which wasn't even there) actually introducing another problem.

Yes it’s good to see that new build standards are on the up and up..

I mean just look at quality of this installation

Rough as a badgers and that’s being kind

If this is indeed a new build...it certainly does nothing for the hope of building properties,in a manner which allows the removal of gas heating, and champions the minimal use of energy...
More likely,Mr,Trump will start to grow his own hair...
