Hi,

New property time for new consumer see attached pics as need some advice. This might be a bit long winded but here goes. three cu's first one contains main switch and the following 30+30+5+15+15amps connected to standard black meter as seen in pic at top, then from the supply another off peak meter is fed and also a radio switch for the off peak - this feeds another 2 cu's via henley blocks containing a 4 unit 15+15+15+15amps and a 2 unit 15+15amps,

All are metal clad and the main unit has a seperate RCD switch after the meter,

Advice i need is as the meter goes to the rcd and the tails are short i was looking at putting in a 100A DP Supply Isolato rthen connecting to cu but i am unsure whether to put two boards back one for house one for all the 6 radials or whether to try and incorporate all into 1?

Advice please guys.:)

I agree with Flukey, lots of qualified 'electricians' recently asking some basic questions, however I do not feel this should turn into insult trading.

Your right but not all questions can be about quantum physics or sinewave constitution:confused:

Sorry sometimes it's just banding about ideas even if they are basic.

After all you never know even basic stuff can sometimes throw up things that you didn't know - it's how we all learn.:)

Anyone new to the industry reading this thread im sure will avoid asking questions.

Remember theres never a stupid question only stupid answers;)

albeit 50mm not being 5cm?

Am I missing something here because surely peterb2428 can replace that incoming RCD with this Wylex 100A DP Supply Isolator . No need to get the DNO involved.

On another note, I asked a guy who was replacing analogue meters for digital ones if he would report me for cutting the main switch or meter and he said providing he could see there was work been done, ie replacement tails, new ccu he'd re-tag them and not report it.

Thought I'd logged onto screwfix for a minute then lol. There are alot of incompetant scam members out there as are there alot of competant non scam members out there. Peace

Come on peeps, lets leave our ego's on site.

If anyone feels a post is offensive toward them then please just hit the report post button and let US deal with it.

As someone commented any potential new posters will be scared off by slanging matches in threads and this is something WE dont want and WILL NOT let happen.

This forum will not be dragged down into another one of THOSE types of forum.

There endeth the lesson, peace and love gents, peace and love.:D:D
