Good for you for asking.
You may lose face by asking a question that you should know the answer to but you've saved your *rse by finding out the right info.

Suggest that the OP checks the earth continuity as well. It's not clear that the two earth terminals in the switch/backbox are actually connected together. It may be that it's a metalclad switch, but even if it is, I wouldn't wire it as shown in the OP's diagram.

BTW, removing the original post is bad form.
