Level 3 is not was it used to be! 'C' course was level 3, now we've got 2382 and the likes classed as level 3, dumbed down or what!
Can we all just leave it now? I've embarrassed myself enough as it is..
Sorry for wasting all your time.[/QUOT
None of it was time wasting, you asked a question and got answers.
Good for you for asking.
You may lose face by asking a question that you should know the answer to but you've saved your *rse by finding out the right info.
So remember, if you don't know something ASK.
Arse
Saving
Kit
and you won't go too far wrong if you ask the right people ( and you did this time )
Those were the days, you could go out on the drink with a fiver and still come back with change as well... yawn
This trade, today, really does make me shiver.
And how the hell can anyone on here have the gall to give an answer to such a basic question????
Did a Electrical Trainee install your boiler supply like?
Those were the days, you could go out on the drink with a fiver and still come back with change as well... yawn
can ytou use yer bus pass on the trams?..... Aye, and the fish 'n' chips wrapped in newspaper for a tanner (6d) and a ride home on the tram for a ha'penny.
Happy daze!
Suggest that the OP checks the earth continuity as well. It's not clear that the two earth terminals in the switch/backbox are actually connected together. It may be that it's a metalclad switch, but even if it is, I wouldn't wire it as shown in the OP's diagram.
BTW, removing the original post is bad form.
Top tip for the op.
Do the R1 & R2 then do a Re & R2 then you have confirmed continuity of all three cores before you do an IR!
Re & R2 is a new one on me ... what do you mean M?
He means rn
Re & R2 is a new one on me ... what do you mean M?
