I think that shouldn't be allowed, if the install hasn't been started then when it is it should be installed to the current regs, in my opinion.Big house builders do it all the time. Buy land, obtain planning, do some petty work like a bit of grading and sticking a few man holes in, jobs been started so planning can't lapse. If there is a building reg change like u values for the amount of insulation etc it doesn't matter as it was designed when it did comply.
If it was dangerous it wouldn't be in commissionWould you want to jump on a plane with an engine part newly fitted 9 months after regulations had deemed it too dangerous. I'd like to see that argued in court?
I don't..your a house builder and buy a bit of land at x amount based on the current building regs. Building regs change and now the insulation depth is double that of the previous. Now its double the cost to insulate a house. Say they priced it at 4K material per house and it's now going to cost 8K per house and they have 300 houses. Due to the change they've got to find another 1.2 million. How would that be fare?I think that shouldn't be allowed, if the install hasn't been started then when it is it should be installed to the current regs, in my opinion.
... The Designed loop-hole , helps get old stock off the shelf ,If it was designed prior to the change it complies
