Discuss New Light not working correctly in the Talk Electrician area at ElectriciansForums.net

If it's an electronic transformer you can get some strange output voltage readings if there's no load or insufficient load connected. If it's a wire wound transformer then the output voltage will be stable regardless of the load being connected or not.
 
my understanding is that it is electronic. I am just waiting for the misses to get home to make sure she likes the style before i go back to Ikea to replace it. Although its six months old now but have only just got round to putting it up.
