UK radial wiring for ceiling down lights.

evening,

i’m in the process of up-dating my folks ceilings lights.
The current ones do have SELV transformers attached 12V. these definitely look pre-IP.

looking around the flat there is definitely some interesting termination work.

So would new 230V ceiling lights need to be in ring circuit. 6 out 7 work. however, there is 2 final lamps.

assuming i need to just wire the the ‘final’ lamps and form the radial?

should be fun doing this.

Lights tend to only be in radial circuits, not rings.

There may be more than 1 12V light off each transformer, so the wiring between light positions may not be for mains electric.
You may need to rewire between points.
Most fittings only come with space for 2 connections… daisy chained, loop in - loop out

Not sure what you mean by pre-IP? as IP guidance was introduced long before 12v halogen downlights became 'fashionable'.
That aside I would ditch the existing cabling/transformers and re-wire in radial 'daisy chain' fashion (L,N&E) for 230v fittings as per LS post #2
