Hi all,

Great forum you have here, very informative for a newbie like myself, so thank you for that.

My name is Johnny and I'm 23, from Bedfordshire. I started with an electrics company in August last year after years of crappy jobs and I'm really enjoying it so far. Looking to start college this year to start my level 3. The company primarily deals with high-end new builds, but we also service a few care homes, industrial and residential properties, so my learning is pretty varied. I had no previous electrical experience so it's a hell of a lot to learn, but I'm getting there!

Thanks for having me! :waving:

Welcome to the forum!!

It's not an absolute rule, just PM Paul.M or one of the other admins; you're quite clearly in training even if not presently in college.

Not exactly true mate!!! Trainees need to be on a training course, once he as started the Level 3 he can apply and be accepted. We do this to ensure that we are helping genuine students and not rouge builders/cowboys or DIYers with the information that is available in there posted up by the mentors.

And just to add to Pauls post even if a new member can't get straight into the trainee section they are still welcome to ask questions either here or via pm etc and will be treat exactly the same. We are all for helping guys who have chsen to get into the industry via the correct route.
