Hi isitnow

I bet you'd prefer it if we stuck with the 1st Edition...

http://www.electriciansforums.net/i...29942-1st-edition-wiring-regs.html#post237176

Would you want that to be an open book exam as well?

It's called progress, we'd still be living in caves otherwise.
Is £60 odd every 3 years that bad? Don't go to the one night.
Knowledge is power, don't keep up and learn or fall behind.

Do you readily have a link to each of the editions thats kind of sad.

And before you get all high and mighty im not against learning and keeping up but im against the iee expecting hard working sparks in the middle of a recession sparing another £75 for an ammendment to something they published recently because i know a lot of sparks and can tell you now not one of them will be buying this book.

Im assuming your not a general electrician archy strigg my guess is you sit behind a desk all day am i right?

im assuming that youre either involved with the book or sleep with it under your pillow

Of course I'm involved with the book you silly boy! I'm an electrician.

oh my god your so funny im in hysterics considering you havent posted anything usefull on this thread please dont bother i dont want your opinion goodbye you sad old man.

Clearly just stating how i dont appreciate paying for another regs book so soon after buying my last one and simply asking for a few of the ammendments for examples of the importance and need of the ammendment seeing as you have no usefull information whatsoever just go away

42p per week to stay open for business. Life must be tough.

I'm all for CPD stuff changes, things move on etc..And three years between books isn't really that long

In other professions "bibles" you usually get the option to buy a binder version so you just replace the relevant pages, probably not the best for using on site day to day but would be a good option?

ye that would be good i saw online that theres going to be a new on site guide also coming out soon think id rather buy that first and just eventually buy the book

I was at the Ricco areana and I bought both the books, I dont feel it was so expensive, i managed to get the osg for £17 and BGB for £55. I have also managed to sell my BRB for a tidy sum on fleebay so its all good. You gotta spend some to get some. And if you are a reputable trades person you will surely be paying taxes, these are expenses which can be taken into consideration end of year. Just a thought.
