Replacing some 6' fluorescents with LED panels in newly installed suspended ceiling.

Expecting to find most of the fittings wired loop in - loop out and one fitting with switched live.

However to my surprise I found the wiring as above but there was also two double sheathed single lives terminating at the fitting with the lives in the T&E linked.

The initial install was 1974, before my time, so if any of the dinosaurs can give me a few pointers as to whats going on would be appreciated.

No, just single lives but double sheathed ( insulated and sheathed 6181Y)

I think it is the switched but without belling it out..???

I am no artist.
is this the new sparky banksy or the new Picasso?

It may be as mentioned before be a physical convenience layout, run the supply to the lights and then tap off the line at some point and supply the switches in two wire and just bring the switched line back along all the lights.

Interesting, I've had a reel of insulated and sheathed brown 1.0mm for years, I've used 10M so far... I have used a few hundred meters of brown single and earth though.
