New way of earthing sockets!!!

Found this when asked to change all the sockets. New way of doing it i guess!!!! Cut the earth too short then just wrap and twist cable around the T&E

My educated guess at the csa would be either 7/029" or old stranded 2.5mm

its only 4mm cable just a close up pic!!!

I thought the cpc looked undersized for the live conductors
