if its attached its fine. if its detached its not notifiable unless you ran a feed across the garden to it ;)

I think you may have your wires crossed there flukey;)

If the garage is LINKED to the house it is NON notifiable.

If it is DETECHED from the house it then becomes NOTIFIABLE:)

Flukey, maybe a little off subject and a daft question but it seems you(me) seem to doubt yourself when under assessment so the question is;

when filling out the DEIIC on the schedule of test results, if you have a garage supply from the main CU say circuit 5 or whatever, and that cable supplys a small 4 module CU in the garge which has two circuits, lights and sockets, do you treat these circuits within the garage seperate or part of the readings for the garage supply cable?? hope this makes sense! and if you treat the garage circuits seperate where do you put them on the certicate, after the rest of the main CU circuits have been listed? leave a space and put them at the bottom?

Cheers

Hi

Just bend the law but don't break it.

Thanks

Mark

Hi mark maybe I worded the question wrong. Thus is not to do with installation fitting or regs, I am fully aware of the regs and such like it is todo with filling out Certificates.

You will need to complete 2 EIC, one for the sub main, and one for the garage CU.

Thats if i understood your question correctly..

A complete 3 page cert, or just an additional schedule of test results?
Example: let's say you have a CU with 5 circuits, one of those circuits is a distribution circuit for the garage. You would record the results of testing for the distribution circuit for the garage as you would any other circuit upto the point of the garage CU? then you would leave the garage circuits of this test sheet and fill an additional one in for the garage circuits say lights and sockets. Surely not a complete DEIC for a garage 4Mod CU? Ifso when asking for the main supply characteristics would you then be putting in the details of the mcb supplying the garage instead of the main cut-out?

Thanks again
