Back to my original post as I have always undertaken 1st and 2nd fixed installations (and subsequently completed my 17th Edition and 2392-10 courses) I am wanting to enroll in Part-P Scheme whilst continuing my electrical qualifications / education / knowledge whilst working as an apprentice.
Therefore as I have purchased the usual ‘tools of the trade’ (as well as a T5-1000 and Megger 1553) can you please can confirm what I am actually required for my assessment (i.e. a proving unit, voltage tester (different to a Fluke Voltalert II and T5-1000), a lock-off kit, 17[SUP]th[/SUP] edition (2011 revision) and an On-Site Guide)?
Basically, is a proving unit and a voltage tester required if I have a T5-1000?
To be honest I was looking at NICEIC purely because they seem to be more known by the general public (i.e. potential customers). If I am wrong then obviously I will consider another scheme provider, but ultimately it is more down to customer awareness as I am sure that all providers are broadly similar - let the abuse begin ..... :iamwithstupid:
Is this permitted by scheme providers / assessors as I thought (or think that I have read) that this was not allowed - I wouldn't want to fail an annual assessment because I did something this small wrong?
because the T5 and similar have LCD displays, they should be calibrated. a simpler LED tester that doesn't rely on batteries is considered a better option for proving deaqd.
